Send and receive messages

How to send and receive messages on your Objects

Any of your Objects can receive messages

Any Object in the Violet network can receive messages from any violet.net account. Your friends can send you messages on your Nabaztag for example but also on your ztamped teddy bear.

When messages are sent on a Rabbit, they will be played immediately. A message sent to a ztamped Object will be played when this object is shown to a mir:ror or a nabaztag:tag and before the Applications installed on this Object.

To send a message on an object, you can either search for it in the Things directory or find a person first and then send a message to one of his/her Object.

How do I send messages on Objects?

There are several ways to send messages to people on their Objects.

From the homepage of violet.net, click on the 'Send message' button to open the message window. Type or select one of your contact in the list. His/her Objects will appear on the right side of the window. Select the Object to which you want to send a message. you can then decide to :

- send your voice : you can record your voice from your computer and send it to any of your friends' Object
- send music : select a sound file from your library and send it on your friends' Nabaztag or ztamp
- send media : select any media file from your library and send it to your friends' objects

Send pre-recorded messages and nabshares

Click on 'My Library' to access tons of additional messages. Browse in the library using the tabs to discover all the contents you can send to your friends.

Send messages via e-mail

Each of your Violet Objects have a default e-mail address so that anyone can send messages to your Objects (your Nabaztag, Nanoztags, your ztamped Objects). The e-mail address of your Object can be customised from the Pedigree section of your Object.

People who send e-mails on your Objects have to be registered and to have a violet account. The account creation is mandatory to protect Objects owner from spam.
